As its name suggests, Turn marks the furthest point from the clubhouse on our traditional out-and-in links layout. It is a demanding par 3 that provides a stern test before beginning the journey home. Length is the primary challenge, with players often facing a long approach to a well-protected green. Bunkers guard the putting surface and punish any shot that strays offline, placing a premium on both distance and accuracy. The green itself adds another layer of difficulty. A slope at the front of the putting surface will stop anything which doesn’t have the legs, while beyond this point the green slopes away from the player. As a result, even a shot that appears perfectly struck and on line is not guaranteed to remain on the putting surface. A tough and uncompromising par 3. Walking away with par is often a very satisfying result.
